Maurten

Improved formula. Better fueling.

Drink Mix changed the game for endurance sport. Designed to help athletes consume carbohydrate liquid fuel during longer, lower intensity training and racing.

Athletes can suffer with gastrointestinal distress when consuming carbohydrate fuel during high-intensity exercise. Hydrogel Technology is the innovation that encapsulates the carbohydrates, carrying them through the stomach to be absorbed.

It’s a gut reaction.

The Drink Mix becomes a hydrogel upon contact with stomach acid, encapsulating the carbohydrates and helping to reduce the sensation of liquid sloshing in the stomach when consuming fuel during exercise.

New formula.

Drink Mix now contains a minimal amount of sodium bicarbonate. Many sports drinks are acidic, which can harm teeth enamel. The sodium bicarbonate in Drink Mix helps to maintain a neutral pH.

This is the Gel.

The unique structure — firmer, not a syrup — makes the gel easy to consume during high-intensity training and racing.

Based on Hydrogel Technology and built with just 6 ingredients — no colors, no flavors, and no preservatives.

Hydrogel Technology encapsulates the carbohydrates, carrying them through the stomach to be absorbed.

Not a hydrogel, but still Maurten.

Solid 160 is Maurten’s bar — a go-to fuel source for the in-between moments. Fueling made easy.

All part of the plan.

Fuel is simple

The advantage of the Maurten Hydrogel Technology is that it encapsulates the carbohydrates, carrying them through the stomach to be absorbed. This helps prevent gastrointestinal distress during high-intensity exercise.

How much do you need?

4 kcal is the same as 1 gram of carbohydrates. That means 320 is equal to 80 grams, 100 is equal to 25 grams and so on. You can easily put together the perfect mix of Gels and Drink Mixes to for your desired grams/hour fuel plan.

A key factor to success.

What we have learned, and where Maurten stands out from all the rest, is how efficient the Hydrogel Technology is. 40-80 grams per hour is typical for marathon and Ironman competitions. With Maurten and Hydrogel, we have been able consume and utilize more than 120 grams per hour.
