The Lactate Plus
The Lactate Plus
Trusted by athletes, coaches & sports scientists
When we set out to find a Lactate meter, we had a set of requirements.
- Accuracy
- Reliablity
- Cost.
Simply put, the Lactate Plus is the most accurate handheld lactate meter, it is by far the most reliable and although the meter is slighty more expensive than some brands, the consumable strips are cheap. When we also consider that the strips almost never give errors and easy to store, this does become a cost effective choice in the long run.
The strips
Lactate Plus requires only 0.7 microliters of capillary blood.
- It required only 0.7 microliters of capillary blood, a fine tuned value to allow for accurate and reproducable results.
- The test strips are in our experience durable and considering the amount of tests we do, have a negligible error-measurements.
- There are no codes.
- It can be stored at room temperature.
Easy to use
The test is fairly easy, fast, and when done correctly produces reliable results.
- Insert a test strip into the analyzer.
- Whipe the area you will be sampling (earlobe or fingertip), first a wet tissue the a dry.
- Use your lancet to produce a small drop off blood, remember to remove the first drop and sample the second.
- Touch strip to blood without touching the skin (and no double-dipping).
- Get results in 13 seconds
The Lactate Plus strips do not require calibration, which many other lactate meters do, making it up to 30% more reliable in some cases. It features a colored display, making it easy to read indoors and outdoors.
A built-in test strip ejector improves operator safety when testing multiple athletes.
